What's Inside My Make-up Bag

So its a new day and I thought I would let you all in on what's inside my make-up bag! So for my everyday use I use Lancome Teint Visionnaire Skin Perfecting Make-up Duo Foundation which I absolutely love. It is long lasting and provides great coverage, although I think next time I will get a lighter shade as it is a little bit dark for me, but not so dark that it is noticeable to others, just me.

Also in my make-up bag I have Bare Minerals Mineral Veil which my favourite finishing powder, I love this product so much because it is the perfect colour for my skin and it also adds a hint of highlight which helps on college mornings when I need to look more awake!

Next up in my make-up bag is my Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara and even though it is only in a small container it is the best mascara I have ever owned. Who needs fake eyelashes? This mascara is jet black and makes my lashes appear fuller and longer, without the clumps you get with regular mascaras, meaning I will never need falsies again. 

Moving on, let's talk about my favourite eye shadow palette, The Bobbi Brown Nude Eye Pallete is the perfect eye shadow for a natural everyday look, it has light brown and medium brown tones as well as two shimmery tones to help add a hint of sparkle, like I said on my last post I love a bit of sparkle.

For my brows I have The Topshop Brow Pencil, normally I am the type of girl to go for an eyebrow kit but with this pencil I no longer feel that I need one, it is the perfect colour to match my brows and the brush helps to blend the pencil in order to get a natural look.

Up next is my Barry M Vibrant Pink Lipstick as you all know I am a lover of Barry M Nail Polish so I think it's safe to say I'm a lover of their lipsticks too. This is the perfect lipstick for when I'm going on a night out with the girls as it adds a splash of colour to my look. This lipstick is great as it stays on all day long without me having to re-apply, and I can not stand having to top up make-up in the day as its just time consuming.

As I am a lover of eyeshadow I also have The Body Shop Ombre a Paupieres Eye Palette, This eye shadow was recently given to me by my friend Emily as an early christmas present. The colours in this palette are absolutely beautiful their are two shades of blue that have a shimmery effect and your two natural brows for an everyday look aswell. I just know this palette will be perfect for partying!

Finally, I have my Body Shop early-harvest Rasberry Perfume I keep this in my make-up bag as an everyday perfume as it is the perfect size to carry around with me at college for when I need a hint of fragrance. It has a beautiful rasberry scent, as it says in the name, that lasts for the majority of the day which is exactly what you want from a Perfume.

My Barry M Nail Polish Collection

So this is my first blog post after my Introduction and I would like to share with you one of my favourite collections that I have in my room.

As the majority of my friends and family know Barry M are my absolute favourites when it comes to nail polish! From Gelly nails and nail patterns to beautiful bright colours. Barry M nail polish never fails to please me. This is my collection so far and I will definitely be purchasing some more in the upcoming months ready for summer and my Summer Nails. 

The nail polish applicator brush has a flat surface making it easy to apply, especially when you are as bad at painting nails as I am. Also these nail polishes dry really quick making it easier for me not to smudge them while waiting for them to dry! 

Thoughts on each of the colours:

Lilac Foil Limited Edition- I really like this nail polish because it is definitely the most interesting of the lot. It creates almost like a metallic look which gives your nails a very interesting style. It always has people asking me where it's from. This nail polish is a beautiful lilac colour with a hint of sparkle and sparkles are definitely one of my favourite things when it comes it nail polishes.

NP 140- This is probably my oldest Barry M nail polish but that hasn't effected the amount that I love it in any way. It is a gorgeous colour that lies between pink and orange on the colour wheel, almost a coral colour, but not quite;) 

Shimmering Gold-This nail polish was given to me by a friend last year and it always comes in handy when im off for a night out as it gives a shimmering gold coat ontop of my nail polish or even beautiful sparkly nails if several coats are applied.

Sparkling Silver-This was also given to me buy the same friend that gave me the shimmering gold. As well as the gold I love the effect this nail polish gives as it provides the perfect amount of sparkle to brighten up my nails on a glamorous night out.

Socialite- This nail polish is unbelievably beautiful and definitely one of my favourites in my collection it is a hot pink with an incredible amount of sparkle, also the packaging is lovely as the bottle has a beautiful gold lid. 

Marshmallow Confetti- This is probably the second most interesting of my collection as it gives a confetti finish providing your nails with a great texture. The confetti looks amazing especially in the beautiful pastel pink that I have. I am definitely a fan of the white lid that Barry M has chosen for the packaging as it really compliments the pastel pink of the nail polish.

NPIMP- Another one of my oldies! This nail polish is an extremely hot pink and perfect for the sexy, diva look which every now and then all us ladies are after.

Chai-This nail polish is a very pastely purpley grey, and that is literally the only way I can describe the colour however, it is beautiful and perfect for a natural, subtle look.

Blood Orange- This is definitely my favourite out of my collection, especially when I'm going on a night out. It provides a deep red that has a beautiful matte finish. Also red is my favourite colour which definitely adds to why this is my favourite nail polish from Barry M.

Here's a little Introduction..

My full name is Lydia Alice May Martin, but most people call me Lydia. I am seventeen years old and I am from a small town in the south of England. 

I would say I have a pretty regular life, I spend most of my time either at college, with friends, my family or my boyfriend Joe. 

I have almost always had a love for Photography which is what I am currently studying at college as a BTEC Level 3, so expect to see a lot of my work. 
Fashion and beauty are also some of my favourite things so I expect I will post a lot of my clothes and make-up for you all to see as well as a little bit about my everyday life. 

I have always thought about writing a blog but just never really got round to it but today I decided to just go for it, so here it is! Hopefully I will post at least one-two times a week.
